Wilks Formula

The Wilks Coefficient or Wilks Formula, developed by Robert Wilks, is a method by which the strength of a Powerlifter is measured against other Powerlifters of a different bodyweights. The Wilks Formula is used by the World Powerlifting, Powerlifting Australia and many other Powerlifting entities.

The Wilks Formula has been updated as of 1st January 2020.

For example, a 69.30 kg male has a coefficient of .8973. Multiply this number by the individual lift or total. The lifter with the highest resulting figure is the “best lifter”.
