Melbourne Open Reboots Powerlifting

Powerlifting emerges from lockdown with the Melbourne Open on November 7th. Held at the Advanced Athletes Performance elite athlete centre in Preston, the Open will take up the remaining Victorian entries from the cancelled nationals, plus will add new entries coming in. Comebacking Powerlifting pioneer Bev Francis will lead lifters chasing the Best Lifter prize of a $1,000 stainless steel Samtek bar and drug-testing and Referee protocols have been set up for Oceania and World Record conditions.
