Friday April 10 to Sunday April 12 is all set for the first Big Event of 2015. Over 3 full days the Australian Championships plus the elite Pacific Invitational will unfold in front of 40,000 spectators at the Fitness & Health Expo at the Melbourne Convention Centre.

The Australian Championships will feature Australia’s top 80 Men and Women lifters. The roll call of Stars includes 83kg. Champion Colin Webb being challenged by Deadlift King Amir Fazelli, the return of all-time great Richard Hozjan at 105kg. and the continued rise of Junior World record holder Cameron McKenzie at 120kg. In the Women Elizabeth Craven 52kg. and Alix Newton 57kg. will battle it out for Best Lifter title, with Kelli Clarke lurking in the 63s and ready for an upset.

But the biggest show will be on Saturday at 1.30p.m. when 13 of the World’s Strongest lifters tackle World and Oceania Records. Jeza Uepa from Nauru will once again challenge the all-time Total best at 120+kg. and Bench Press specialists Matt Baller (USA) & New Zealand giant Elnez Tofa will be racing for the first 600lb. Bench in history. At 83kg. Brett Gibbs (NZ) will be setting World Records but will not have it all his own way,with challenges coming from Aussies Colin Webb & Amir Fazelli.
