PACIFIC INVITATIONAL 2020

MAY 2-3 AT ATHLETES AUTHORITY SYDNEY

The Paciifc Invitational 2020 will feature lifters from the Pacific region and beyond at Athletes Authority, Sydney’s elite Powerlifting and fitness centre. Two days of lifting will be highlighted via Saturday and Sunday international Sessions, with the local Sydney Open taking up another two sessions. Enter the Sydney Open now and the Australian team will be selected from the best of those entries 21 days out. World Records can be set in all age groups and all PA members are welcome to enter the Open event.

ASIA PACIFIC OPEN AT FIBO CHINA 2020

June 4-6 AT SHANGHAI NATIONAL CONVENTION & EXHIBITION CENTRE

This is the biggest, wildest event on the Calendar. China’s best take on invited lifters from around the world, including Australia, at the cavernous Shanghai Convention Centre. 50,000+ fitness fans come through FIBO China and the Powerlifting event is a highlight. This year Krzysztof Wierzbicki will attempt an all-time World Deadlift best of 450kg++. All PA members are eligible to participate

WORLD POWERLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020

OCTOBER 23-25 AT FITNESS SHOW MELBOURNE

This is the Big One, the World Open Championships, at Fitness Show Melbourne. Lifters from around the world will challenge the record books and fight for medals in the 8 Men’s and 8 Women’s classes. Host nation Australia will be allowed two teams. Qualifying will be by placing at the Australian Championships to be held on July 10-12. Plan your year now, enter the Nationals and graduate to the World Championships.

ASIA PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020

DEC 11-13 AT CAMBRIDGE, NEW ZEALAND

Cambridge, just outside Auckland, will be the host of the Region’s feature event, the Asia Pacific Championships. Big teams will be coming form Australia, New Zealand, Nauru and more. All age groups, Open, Youth, Junior, Masters will be contesting medals and records, in conjunction with the simultaneous World Juniors and Masters Championships. Qualifying and entry criteria for Australian teams to follow shortly.

WORLD JUNIOR, MASTERS & BENCH PRESS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020

DEC 11-13 AT CAMBRIDGE, NEW ZEALAND

Also in Cambridge, in conjunction with the Asia Pacific Championships, will be the age group Worlds, the event of the year for Youth, Junior and all Masters lifters. As well, the World Bench Press Championships will also be happening. Australian team qualifying and entry criteria will be released soon but will focus on the Australian Junior and Masters Championships being held in Melbourne May 29-31.
