Qualifying Standards
To be eligible to compete at National Championships or to be selected for teams to International Championships lifters must achieve certain Gradings in the calendar year of and prior to the Championships concerned. For international events lifters should also have competed and placed highly in the prior Australian Championships for their age group and discipline – see PA Regulations 5.1 – 5.12
As well, lifters must also have been PA members (and thus drug testable) for a minimum of 6 months (Open) or 3 months (Junior & Masters) prior to the Championships.
